Bluff No.234で知られている横浜の歴史的建造物の山手234番館は、朝香吉蔵（あさかきちぞう）設計で1927年に建てられた。元町・中華街駅（みなとみらい線）と石川町（JR根岸線）からほど近い便利な場所にある。建物の向かい側にはベンチがあり暖かい陽射しの中で座りながらこの建物を描くことができる。 

 

Bluff No. 234, also known as Yamate 234 designed by Mr. Kichizo Asaka, is a historical building in Yokohama, built in 1927. It is conveniently located near Motomachi-Chukagai Station (Minatomirai Line) and Ishikawacho Station (JR Negishi Line). Opposite the building, there are benches where you can sit in the warm sun and sketch the building.

 

この日は暖かく心地良い冬の日だった。            スケッチは午前10時30分にスタート。   Bluff No.234の隣にはホームメイド・    ケーキで知られている居心地の良いレストランがあり、クリスマスのこの日は長蛇の列が できていた。

 

The winter weather was pleasantly warm. We began sketching at 10:30 a.m. Next to Bluff No. 234 is a cozy restaurant. On Christmas Day, there was a long queue of people waiting to enter the restaurant, known for its homemade cakes.  

12時30分頃にスローダウンを行った。その頃には並んでいた人たちは皆、 レストランに 入りランチを楽しんでいた。

 

We had our throw down around 12:30 p.m. By that time, the people who had been waiting in line had already entered the restaurant to enjoy their lunch.   

スケッチが終わった後、私たちは石川町のレストランで美味しいランチとステキな会話を楽しんだ。

 

After sketch, we went to a restaurant in Ishikawacho, enjoyed a lovely lunch, and engaged in a pleasant conversation for quite some time.
